Read 1 Thessalonians 5:17.
We are called to pray continually. There must be something special about prayer. God did not call us to preach without ceasing, or teach without ceasing, or have committee meetings without ceasing or sing without ceasing. He did call us to pray without ceasing.
Prayer is that lifeline to God that is unmatched by anything else. No other spiritual activity is guaranteed to provide results. Matthew 18:19 says “When two of you get together on anything at all on earth and make a prayer of it, my Father in heaven goes into action.” (Message) God is moved by the humble, prayerful heart. God is moved by prayer.

Prayer for today: Thank you God for hearing when I pray. Help me to be still to hear your responses. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for the gift of grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
