Read Isaiah 6:8.

Isaiah 6:8 captures a moment of profound surrender. The prophet Isaiah has just seen a vision of the Lord seated on His throne, high and exalted, surrounded by seraphim proclaiming, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty.” Overwhelmed by the holiness of God and aware of his own sinfulness, Isaiah cries out, and God responds by purifying him with a live coal from the altar.
Then, God asks a question not just for Isaiah, but one that echoes throughout every generation:
“Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
This is not a question of ability, but availability. God doesn’t seek the most eloquent, the most knowledgeable, or the most qualified by human standards. He seeks those who are willing. Isaiah’s response — “Here am I. Send me!” — is the cry of a heart that has encountered God’s holiness, experienced His mercy, and is now compelled to respond in obedience.
Who Will God Send to Share the Gospel?
God will send those who are willing to go.
That includes you and me. The call to share the gospel is not reserved for pastors, missionaries, or church leaders. It is for every believer who has encountered the grace of God through Jesus Christ. Jesus echoed this same calling in the New Testament when He said, “Go and make disciples of all nations…” (Matthew 28:19). The Great Commission is a continuation of the call first heard by Isaiah.
You may feel unworthy. So did Isaiah.
You may feel unqualified. So did Moses.
You may feel afraid. So did Jeremiah.
But God equips those He calls. He transforms our trembling into testimony, our weakness into witness. If you are willing to say, “Here I am,” God is faithful to guide your steps, give you the words, and empower your witness.
Personal Worship Option:
Lord, I stand in awe of Your holiness and grace. Like Isaiah, I am aware of my imperfections — yet You cleanse, restore, and call. I don’t want to let fear or doubt silence Your call in my life. Give me the courage to say, “Here I am. Send me.” Use me to speak truth, show love, and reflect Christ wherever You lead. Amen.
