Read Joshua 24:14-15.

Sometimes we have to renew and recommit to following our Lord. We have to choose who we will serve. And who (or what) we choose will make all the difference in whether we are prepared for the storms of life. The reality is we have a choice on a daily basis. Every day when we wake up in the morning we choose. Do we say to the LORD, “here I am ready to live for you today. Ready to follow. Lead me, guide me, direct me however you will.” OR are we self-absorbed with our agenda of the day.

When we consider all that God has done for us over the years, it should create in us a desire to serve Him in obedience. God is always faithful and trustworthy and in times of stress and storms we can hold on to Him. If we choose wisely, we will experience the presence of God in ways that surpass the imagination. The choice is yours - who do you choose?

Personal Worship Option:

Prayer for today: Precious Jesus, we choose to serve you. Help us to live this out. Help us to serve you when we are alone and when we are with others. Help us to serve you in our family, friends, work and neighborhood. We pray that you would help us to serve you in every way: with our thoughts, with our desires, with our words, with our actions. Use our lives today in ways that you are honored and glorified, and Your purposes are embraced. In Jesus’ name, amen.
