Read Luke 24:36-50.

The death of Jesus must have seemed like a flood of despair for his disciples. It was devastating and people do all sorts of things in grief. Disciples went fishing, hung out together, scattered throughout the area. How do you make sense of the world, as you know it, falling apart?

But then Jesus received new life and gave them new life. When the disciples recognized Jesus they were filled with wonder and joy and couldn’t wait to share the Good News.

This story reminds us that no matter where we try to go in our pain, confusion, and grief, the living Jesus is able to come to us. Once we receive Him, life is renewed.

Personal Worship Option:

Talk to Jesus about any struggle or obstacle you face. He will listen both as a friend and a Savior.
