Daily Devotion, June 9, 2023

Devotion:

Read 1 Corinthians 15:11-20, 53-57.

Sometimes it feels as if Satan has been victorious. He won in the Garden of Eden and at the Cross. But God turned Satan’s apparent victory into defeat when Jesus rose from the dead. Death is no longer a source of dread or fear. Christ’s bodily resurrection is the center of the Christian faith. We know that what he said is true and that he is God. Because of the resurrection, nothing we do is useless.

Knowing that Christ has won the ultimate victory should affect the way we live right now. But sometimes we become apathetic about serving the LORD because we don’t see any results. Don’t be discouraged over an apparent lack of results. Keep doing the work of the LORD as you have opportunity.

Personal Worship Option:

Remind your heart who God is today. He is the God who sees you and walks with you. He is the God who will always and forever love you.
