Devotion:
Read Exodus 3:1-8.
Do you ever feel like you are too tired or overwhelmed to know how to serve those in need? Do you wonder what ability you really have to make a difference? Moses felt that way. Yet it really wasn’t about Moses - it was about what God could do through Moses. God responded as a servant to the needs of his people, saying “I have come down to deliver them.” We serve the God who became a servant to us. Jesus showed us how. He listened to the whisper of God’s voice and knew his response was to obey, serving those who loved and hated him.
Only through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit are we able to serve and love others in the manner that God calls us to do. As we discern those God whispers, we are enabled to obey His moment to moment instructions and glorify God by our service.
Personal Worship Option:
There are many ways to serve others. Look for ways to serve someone - especially someone who least expects it.
