Devotion:
Read Mark 5:25-34.
This woman had been suffering for twelve years, yet still had faith to seek healing from Jesus. She had tried everything available to her to relieve her suffering but to no avail. Now, here was Jesus. For the past twelve years she had been isolated from social contact, because her disease deemed her unclean. To touch another person would mean that they too, would be unclean. She desperately wanted Jesus to heal her, so her plan was to reach out in faith and touch the hem of his garment. That act of faith brought her healing. Jesus said her faith caused the cure. Genuine faith involves action. Faith that isn’t put into action is not faith at all.
Sometimes we may feel that our problems will keep us from God. But He is always ready to help even when His timing isn’t on our time frame. We should never allow our fear to keep us from approaching God.
