Read Revelation 1:8, 18.
When life feels chaotic, these two verses are powerful anchors. Together, these verses remind us that our lives are held by the One who existed before time began and who will stand long after the world as we know it fades. Just as Alpha and Omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, God is the beginning and the end of all things. He is the source of your existence and the goal of your eternal life.
Jesus has been there. Jesus said I was dead, and behold I am alive. Jesus entered our suffering and conquered death itself. He died, and his body was laid in a grave till he rose again on the third day. What's more, he holds the keys of death. He broke out of death's prison and took the keys with him. Because He is the Living One, you can live without the fear of judgment in eternity.
Are you living like you are in control, or are you resting in the One who is the Alpha and Omega? Today, "behold" Him—see, know, and trust that the One who started your story has the power to bring it to a glorious completion.
Personal Worship Option:
Dear God, thank You for sending Jesus as the Alpha and Omega. When we feel overwhelmed, remind us that You are the Almighty who holds our past, present, and future. Jesus, thank You for conquering death so we can live in eternity. We place our trust in You. Amen.
