Read Colossians 1:15-17.
In a world that often feels fragmented and unstable, these verses ground us in a breathtaking truth: Jesus Christ is supreme over all things. Paul declares that Christ is “the image of the invisible God.” If we want to know what God is like—His character, His power, His heart—we look to Jesus. He makes the unseen God visible and knowable.
Paul goes further, describing Christ as present before creation itself. Everything that exists—seen and unseen—came into being through Him and for Him. Nothing in your life is random or accidental. Your story, your gifts, and even your struggles exist within a universe shaped and sustained by Christ’s purpose.
Verse 17 offers deep comfort: “In Him all things hold together.” When life feels like it’s coming apart—relationships strained, plans disrupted, faith tested—Christ remains the One who holds everything in place. He is not distant or detached; He is actively sustaining creation and quietly sustaining you.
This passage invites us to trust Christ not only as Savior, but as the steady center of our lives. When we align our hearts with Him, we discover peace—not because circumstances are perfect, but because our lives are anchored in the One who holds all things together.
Personal Worship Option:
Jesus, You are before all things, and in You all things hold together. When my life feels uncertain, help me trust Your sustaining power. Center my heart on You today and always. Amen.
