Devotion:
Read Matthew 16:13-18.
Matthew includes this scene in which Jesus assures his followers that no power will be able to overcome his eternal kingdom. When Jesus asked his followers. “Who do you say I am?” it elicited a personal conviction from Peter that Jesus was indeed the Messiah. It is at that point that Jesus shares with the disciples that His Kingdom is eternal, and nothing will overthrow it.
So, who is Jesus? This is the most important question you will ever answer. It will impact your life choices.
