Devotion:
Read Exodus 24:12-18.
Moses spent over a month with God to receive the commandments by which the people were to live. God invited Moses to come and learn from him. God outlined how his people ought to live and one part of this was to remember their special relationship with him. Another was to treat others well. The key was and is, in the relationship.
Do you consult God in everything? Keep the line open to God:
- Is this opportunity from you, God?
- Are you in this venture, God?
- Should I take this road, God?
At every decision, every crossroad, acknowledge him. Ask him, “Do I turn right or left?”.
Our relationship with God is exactly that, a relationship. His invitation is clear and simple: “Come” When we spend time together, He grants us wisdom as we need it.
Personal Worship Option:
Moses drew near to God in response to God’s invitation. Is God inviting you to draw near to him? Will you accept the invitation?
