Read Psalm 136.
As the Psalmist reflects on the history of God’s people in relationship with God, he offers a wonderful refrain: “His love endures forever.” Children learn best through repetition, and so it’s true with the children of God. One of the best ways to remember God’s work in our lives is to recount who He is and how the God of the universe cares for us.
This Psalm showcases the many aspects of God’s love including kindness, mercy, and faithfulness. We never have to worry that God will run out of love because it flows from a well that will never run dry. We cannot put a limit on God’s care or love. The entire universe is a testimony to the vastness of God and his power. The next time you see the sunset or sunrise or look for the rainbow in an afternoon rain shower or experience a beautiful natural wonder remember the God of creation loves YOU no matter what. God painstakingly created every detail of the universe and patiently provides for and loves his people.
