Devotion:
Read Psalm 15.
Psalm 15 answers the question, “How does God expect me to live on earth?” It tells us how to live so that we will have a good relationship with God. We read ten descriptions that describe how to live.
Verse 2 shows us how to relate to others.
- Live honestly
- Practice righteousness
- Be truthful
Verse 3 shows us how to speak to others.
- Do not slander
- Do no wrong to others
- Do not discredit or slur others
Verse 4 shows us how to act to others.
- Distinguish between good and evil
- Honor those who respect God
Verse 5 shows us how to use money to love others.
- Care for the poor
- Do not accept bribes
God expects us to be like him. He is relational and acts with love and kindness to everyone. In order to be like God, we need to be honest, caring, and right in the way we relate to others.
