Devotion:
Read Matthew 6:11.
God provided bread in the desert each day for the Children of Israel. Jesus includes this line in the prayer he taught us. And in the Gospel of John, he taught that he was the bread of life. We need that “spiritual food” each day as well. When we ask for “daily bread” we acknowledge that God is our sustainer and provider. It is a misconception to think that we provide for our needs ourselves. We must trust God daily to provide what he knows we need. Just like the children of Israel in the wilderness - God provides for the needs of each day. This actually goes beyond the physical needs and includes all we need to follow Jesus each day. He also provides the encouragement to live a life of love, of prayer, and of worship.
Personal Worship Option:
Do you worry about tomorrow? Trust God for today and give him all your worries. Because He will take care of you!!
