Devotion:
Read Luke 19:1-10.
Zacchaeus was determined to see Jesus that day. He went as far as to climb a tree to get a glimpse of Jesus. Can you imagine the chief tax collector climbing a tree! Tree climbing is usually relegated to children. Yet, it was a child-like heart that said “yes” to Jesus not just to come to his home but into his life. An encounter with Jesus changes you. Zacchaeus knew Jesus was giving him a chance to rebuild and reshape his life. And he took advantage of that opportunity. He knew he did not want to go back to the ways he had lived before. What do you need to do to reshape your life?
Personal Worship Option:
Reflect on areas of your life that need to be changed. Commit these to Jesus. As you encounter HIM today may you experience a renewal of heart and soul.
